No ono sa vedie polemika ohľadom, národného jedla, kedysi to ozaj mohol byť vyprážaný syr so zemiakmi ( nie hranolkami) niekde na SVK. Dnes sú to halušky, ešte dávnejšie to boli prívarky- zemiakové, fazuľové, hrachové, šošovicové, proste čo zem dala. Základom bol vždy syr, zemiaky a všetko čo mohla bedač dopestovať. Pýtali sa jedného renomovaného šéfkuchára, že ak by si mal vybrať posledné jedlo, čo by si vybral.... Povedal, že pekné pečené zemiaky s maslom, soľou , cibuľkou a kvasenou kapustou s chlebom. Ak ma chcete ukameňovať kvôli vyprážanému syru, mnoho cudzincov ( ovšem menšina) si myslí, že vyprážaný syr je naše národné jedlo. Odkiaľ to majú?

Škoda, že sa javíme ako alkoholici, ale môžeme si za to sami. Generačne do nás od malička nalievajú alkohol. "...všetko najlepšie, už si chlap, tak si daj, veď už máš na to vek...., veď je Silvester..., iba ochutnaj...." atď. Alkohol je všade a to by sa mohlo zmeniť, aby sme rumenec na tvárach mali z radosti, slnka a nie zo starosti zaliatej alkoholom.
